As usual a massive effort by all - and what a team! When I arrived, Witho and John A were already busy whipper-snippering and scything back the overgrown grass.
We all tucked in and emptied out the old contents of the shed - with junk seemingly not touched since the 1980s - and were really glad Damon came along and brought his ute. He took a huge load down to the tip.
Meanwhile several people were busy with the scythe and the whipper-snipper, as the pesky kikuyu grass was right up to the shed walls, and indeed through the floorboards in places. John A went home and got his trailer and we loaded it up with grass and cuttings for the tip as well.
Tish did a well-earned coffee run and we all filled up on yummy cakes left over from the Muddy Puddles fundraiser the day before.
Then John P went and got the 2.3s and they are now stored in our shed, which allows our trailer adaptation crew to modify the other trailer for 303 transport, etc.
There's still lots of work to do, but a huge start was made today, and now we know we have this great storage space, and the beach is a lovely location (as tested and proven by Wally and Neve, our trusty canine assistants for the day).
