A big thank-you to everyone who turned out for sailing on November 12. With Terry and Tish both in hospital, and several others unable to make it, we were blessed with the presence of the "Three Musketeers" - Craig, Martyn and Scott - who hoed into all the heavy lifting and made setting up and packing up a lot easier. Thank you, again.
Just before Keziah and Lisa arrived with Jodie, Edie, Peter and Ben from LWB, John P and Martyn took out Poppy and Michael and Craig went for a spin on Slime, with Witho and George keeping an eye on them from Squirt.
Jocelyn and Ben went out on Peter's Pride, Peter W went out on Poppy and Edie tested the waters on Slime.
After an early lunch, Ben and Edie enjoyed another sail - Ben with Peter G and Edie with Jocelyn, with Witho and Craig on Squirt.
Michael and Jocelyn took out Slime to test the new keel-lifter (coming along nicely), while Martyn went for a very well-sailed solo on Peter's Pride.
All the while, Scott did a great job in charge of beach, with Peter G and George doing shifts in the office.
Justin from John Holland (bridge construction co) called in for a chat and reaffirmed that our last sailing day at Old Punt Road will very probably be December 17 (Christmas party day), so then it will be off to Nelligen from January 14.
Tish has now returned from hospital, and we wish Terry all the best and a speedy recovery - she is in for 10 days with a few weeks' recovery time.
Sailability's Bunnings barbecue is on November 18 - please call in for a sizzling sanga and a cold drink.
Our next sailing day is Monday, November 19 - we are looking forward to another good day on the river - why not join us!
