What a hot day at Nelligen on Monday!
While the Bay had 32 with strong breezes, the gauge hit 38 at Nelligen, which was just a bit too hot and uncomfortable.
So thanks to all our volunteers and sailors who persevered throughout the day.
The forecast for our sailing day this Sunday, February 24, is for 24 degrees, so here's hoping that doesn't change.
We plan a later start, with a barbecue lunch. While the boats are being rigged from noon, the cooking crew will be preparing the snags, then after lunch we will test the waters. We will supply the sausages and bread, and all contributions of salads and sweet things will be greatly appreciated.
Yesterday, we welcomed back James, who came with his carer Brad, and Ruby Rose, who is keen to help Terry with admin and also crew on the safety boat on sailing days.
It was great to see Reg and Dave, who called in and gave us a hand.
On deck we had Andy, Peter G, Michael L, Martyn, Terry, John P, Jocelyn, George, Ruby Rose and Christine.
First out were Martyn and Andy on Poppy and Peter and James on Peter's Pride, overseen by John, George and Ruby Rose on Squirt.
Ben and Edie also went out, and Christine had a brisk sail on Slime.
Special thanks to James from LWB, who gave us so much help.
To all those on the sick list, we send our best wishes.
