Our Sunday afternoon sail on February 24 proved to be quite popular and kept our volunteers busy on shore and on the river.
After a barbecue lunch Peter W and George boarded safety boat Squirt to keep an eye on the boats in very erratic winds - from dead calm to bullets from all directions.
Michael and Oscar were first off the pontoon on Slime, followed by Martyn and Ben on Peter's Pride and Jocelyn and Peter W on Poppy.
The three skippers then took Latia, Kellie, Lachlan (photo below) and Charlotte for a sail, and Michael enjoyed a solo run at the end of the day.
Many thanks go to everyone who chipped in - Terry in the office, Pat Crogan, Peter and Kylie from Jervis Bay Sailing Club (camping at the Nelligen BIG4), Yvonne and Guy worked tirelessly, and thanks always to Keziah and Corinna from Life Without Barriers.
It was lovely to see Charlotte, a Special Ed teacher at Moruya High. We are looking forward to seeing her and her students at our Monday sails.
The Firths dropped in to check out Sailability, and we hope to see them again too.
John and Jill Armstrong were yet more very welcome visitors - we will miss them when they move to Canberra.
Tish made a brave attendance, just several days after shoulder surgery, and we wish her well during her convalescence. Hopefully, she'll be back sailing soon.
Our next sailing day, on Monday, March 4, will resume at the usual times - 9am for volunteers and 10.30am for sailors.
Volunteers please note that the briefing will be held at 9.10am - before the boats are rigged.
Thanks again - a wonderful team effort from everybody.
