With just Slime and Poppy in action we took out a good number of sailors in a prevailing nor'-easter, which became brisk at times.
First off the beach were Ben Croft and skipper John Parker in Poppy, and aboard Slime were Tish Ennis and newcomer Letia Jones, who seemed to love every minute of her sail on the river.
Tish then took out Oscar Jeeves, who had waited patiently for his turn, and John then returned to take out Peter Ward.
George Sawers and Jocelyn were on safety boat Squirt and took out carers Kelly and Jason. Squirt recorded yet another day without any tows - great stuff.
It was wonderful to see the Toyer family arrive - Kate skippered Poppy to take out another newcomer, Adriana Groot, before the lunch break.
Jocelyn took out Poppy with Lachie Mortlock, who was on the lookout for more stingrays, attracted to the beach by anglers gutting fish at the fish table, and Kate took out new member Rob O'Brien and then Rhian Toyer.
Tish and John took out Squirt for the afternoon run.
Thanks to volunteers Guy Geeves, Michael Leydon and Terry McDonough - both on beach duties - John P, George, Tish, Kate Toyer, Tara Cashman, Rhian Toyer, and Rob O'Brien.
Peter Withington dropped in to show us his heritage Beetle, and Peter Glen called in as well.
A big thank-you to everyone who helped throughout the day - you are a generous, hard-working bunch!
