With only two sailing days until the end of our sailing season, it's that time of year when mornings can be a bit chilly and plenty of jackets and jumpers were sighted early at our sailing day on April 1. (No pranks were recorded.)
Allan Rees, Peter Withington and Martyn Lloyd arrived with all our boat trailers, and were joined by fellow volunteers Andy Frantz, Peter Glen, Michael Leydon, Tish Ennis, Ruby Rose McMath, Jocelyn Righton and Michael Brassil to unload the trailers and rig the boats.
Plenty of welcome help was also forthcoming from James and Brad, the teachers from Moruya High School and the carers from Life Without Barriers.
Once again, winds were light, but the Sun did make an appearance later in the day.
Tish and Ruby Rose ran the office while Peter W and Michael B boarded Squirt for safety boat duties.
Reports from skippers Allan, Michael L and Jocelyn indicated that the sailors from Moruya High are showing great talent at boat handling, so is there a Jimmy Spithill or Leisl Tesch among them? Here's hoping.
Congratulations to Ruby Rose for taking on the power boat licence course. She had her second outing on the helm of Squirt, this time under the tuition of Peter W.
We wish her all the best.
Also on skipper duties was Peter Glen, who took out Pete, and Edie, Ben and Ray also enjoyed their sails with Allan and Michael L.
Martyn was busy making us all media stars on his go-pro. Keep an eye out on our Facebook and website for some top footage of sailing action on the Clyde River.
Our next sailing day will be held on Monday, April 8, so come along and make the most of this beautiful autumn weather.
